Iran bans Blogrolling

Iran has ordered all Iranian ISPs to filter and block the popular blog roll hosting service blogrolling.com.
The service is said to be popular among Iranian bloggers, the largest blogging community in the Middle East.
The Committee to Protect Bloggers writes that many Iranian bloggers perceive this as an ‘attack’ on the Persian blogosphere.
“I don’t know what would happen next, but this is just the beginning,” the writer of ‘Persian Buddy’ wrote in his blog. “Soon they are going to filter blogger.com itself and we can do nothing about it,” he wrote.
Wow, are you switching all your blogs over to the new wider layout? How have readers felt about this so far? BTW, I like the look.
With a new hardline President, I fancy it’s going to get much worse for Iranian bloggers in the next few years.
Flat at 800px Paul so hopefully shoudn’t upset to many people, no complaints yet, its a whole lot quicker than the old template too :-)
This sucks for the many Iranian bloggers, but is there anything we can do?
This is a fascinating read, and I have not seen it anywhere today (// News junkie).
Any links of Iranian bloggers?
We learn what use from anti filter . . . :)
Nice work, Parviz! :-)
Half knowledge is a dangerous thing. The Persians will know that soon.
