Disturbed’s Winter Tour: A Sensory Symphony
The “Take Back Your Life” Winter Tour 2024 by Band Disturbed stirred deep emotions among its attendees, thanks to a striking production design created by Alex Mungal. A magnificent fusion of lighting, pyrotechnics, and high-definition multimedia screens were used to synchronize stunning visual graphics with the band’s powerful performances.
Promotional materials reflected Mungal’s thoughtful design strategy, preparing fans for an auditory and visual feast before they even stepped into the venue. The stage design itself was a spectacle, maintaining a powerful presence throughout the performances and successfully actualizing Mungal’s vision for a raw, edgy atmosphere.
The concert took place in Nashville, blending Disturbed’s captivating melodies with stunning visual aesthetics. The audience was entranced by the glowing fixtures, loud pyrotechnic explosions, and swirling fog, all contributing to an atmosphere where every note and chord intermingled perfectly. As the concert progressed, the intensity of the pyrotechnics and the lights gradually escalated, turning the performance into a visual symphony.

Immersive visual spectacle of Disturbed’s tour
The aim was to craft captivating sequences, transitioning seamlessly between pyrotechnics and lighting, or combining the two for higher drama.
The stunning visuals included 49 mechanized strobe-washes and 35 hybrid Spikies, offering intricate beam-work from various positions to enhance the atmosphere. The effect was elevated with the addition of BMFL Spots and BFX fixtures, increasing vibrancy and adding depth to the space. Additionally, haze effects from an FQ-100 Fog Generator filled the room with an ethereal aura.
Mungal used fixtures to create “new environments” for each song, manipulating light to become an active participant in the performance. The dynamics of light and shadow were cleverly interwoven with the music, offering a distinct atmosphere and mood with each song.
A cast of 20 songs provided a feast for the senses both audibly and visually, with the performance of “The Game” and “The Vengeful One”—highlighting Mungal’s distinctive color scheme—as standout moments. The crowd responded with energetic applause after each number, painting a lively picture of unanimous appreciation and fandom.
