Back to school 2016 is underway. With many students getting ready to head to school in a matter of mere days, many companies are profiting off of the rush to get kids ready for class. Many of you featured content about it, while others of you marketed merchandise to those preparing for the new school year. While it might be too late to use this year, our friends over at The Shelf are ready to make sure you conquer back to school next year.

“To “celebrate” the end of summer fun – and drown out the back-to-school jitters that are induced by all those impending wedgies and hurt feelings – kids are ready to give their full attention to what is perhaps the only real joy of starting a new school year, back-to-school shopping! Back-To-School is the second largest retail holiday in the US! This year, it’s expected to rake in an unbelievable $828 BILLION!” The Shelf writes. “So to honor this very special time in the lives of children everywhere (as well as to celebrate our love for fun marketing stats – duh), we’ve put together an epic Back-To-School infographic that we hope you’ll love!”

This great infographic breaks down the facts and figures of everyone’s favorite time of the year (no, just us?).
